We welcome our community to use O3DE brand assets. Consistent use of our design patterns, logo, and assets helps people easily identify O3DE-branded properties and protects our trademarks. It is important that marketing materials comply with these standards and use our approved assets correctly. Please note that any and all use of O3DE’s trademarks must comply with Linux Foundation’s Trademark Usage Guidelines in addition to the visual branding guidelines shown on this page.
O3DE Logo
Our logo is our flag. It represents us as an organization, the amazing people who work here, the open source communities we collaborate with and the members who support us. It is also a reflection of our purpose and professionalism. It is important that it is always used the right way so that people are able to identify us at a glance.

Logo Usage – Dos and Don’ts
We rather like our O3DE logo, so please don’t change it! Here’s some useful hints for how to display the O3DE logo alongside some simple guidelines for what is and is not acceptable.
SPACING
Always preserve clear space around the O3DE logo. It is required to provide clarity and breathing room.
We use the inner circle of our icon to define the safe spacing zone around our brand.
COLOR
Changing the logo color is strictly not permitted. The O3DE logo should be used in its full color option or all black or all white when required.
ELEMENTS
Changing the O3DE logo elements is strictly not permitted.
SCALING
Scaling or streching the O3DE logo away from its normal proportions is strictly not permitted.
Colors
The primary colors for the main O3DE brand consist of Black and Turquouise. A secondary palette (which is used on cncf.io) extends the primary brand colors.

The Open Source Initiative, established in 1998, does not use a hyphen in “open source,” and the IEEE Computer Society Style Guide, which is maintained by the 72-year-old Computer Society, lists “open source” as the preferred usage. We believe that the open source aspect of an “open source technology/project/community” is so integral to its meaning that the entire phrase serves as a noun. Following this logic, “open source” is not a compound adjective that needs to be hyphenated.
Therefore, for all O3DF/E publications online and in print, we are establishing “open source” as the proper style. The words should be lowercase, except in organization names like the Open Source Initiative. Normal capitalization rules apply at the beginning of a sentence and in titles.

Legal
By using O3DE brand materials you agree to the Linux Foundation Terms of Use, the Trademark Usage Guidelines, these O3DE branding guidelines, and all O3DE rules and policies as may be updated from time to time. You also acknowledge that O3DE is the sole owner of O3DE trademarks, promise not to interfere with O3DE’s rights in them, and acknowledge that goodwill derived from their use accrues only to O3DE. O3DE may review use of the branding materials at any time and reserves the right to terminate or modify any use.
In general
For those using O3DE brand materials on a site external to O3DE, please don’t use our name, logos, or screenshots (“brand materials”) in ways that may be confusing, misleading, or suggest our sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation. For example, your name and logo should be more prominent than Open 3D Engine name or logo. And please don’t edit or change the O3DE logo — we like it how it is!
Advertising, promotional, and sales materials
Please check in with us before using our logo on websites, products, packaging, manuals, or for other commercial or product use. It’s ok to say in text “Member of O3DE” or “O3DE Individual Supporter” (as long as it’s true!)
Products, websites, names, and logos
Please don’t use our name as a part of your company or service name, website name, trade name, or product name. Don’t use our logo or incorporate our logo into yours. Don’t use a domain name containing “o3de”, “o3df” or any confusingly similar words.
Linking to O3DE
If you want to promote your organizations affiliation with O3DE you can use our logo if it meets our guidelines. For example, “[Company Name] is a member of [linked logo].”
