Bring realism to your game with the physics grab gem in O3DE. As showcased by Porcupine Factory at our Open 3D Connect meeting on October 8, realistic object interaction can take your game to the next level. Porcupine Factory demoed this immersive, open-source gem that allows developers to grab, move, rotate, and throw objects making every interaction feel weighty, responsive, and real. With physics based grabbing, objects respond with natural motion using impulses and velocities.
And there’s more! The demo also covers more features which is perfect for anyone looking to enhance interactivity in their O3DE projects. Catch the replay to see the demo below:
Big thanks to Porcupine Factory for demoing the Physics Grab Gem and contributing to the O3DE ecosystem. Make sure to read their blog here and visit their YouTube channel for more.
